Insurance And Billing
The Orchard Surgical Center will bill your insurance company or the responsible party for your services separately from your surgeon, the anesthesiologist (if required for your surgery), and pathology or laboratory charges, if a specimen or sample was taken. We accept most insurance plans, including, but not limited to Medicare. You will be billed for any amount determined to be your responsibility, such as deductibles and co-pays. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover to assist you in paying for your services. To ensure proper filing of claims, please bring valid ID and insurance cards with you on the date of surgery.
It is your responsibility to satisfy the conditions of your insurance plan; therefore, we strongly recommend that you contact your insurance carrier to confirm benefits and any requirements prior to surgery (such as pre-authorization). It is your responsibility to verify that your insurance plan covers our facility services.
Have You Contacted Your Insurance Carrier Yet?
Our center cannot be held responsible for claims denied for failure to meet specific requirements on your behalf. Patients undergoing cosmetic procedures, or patients that are undergoing “non-covered services” (as determined by your insurance carrier) must pre-pay in full by making arrangements with our billing department. Cash, major credit cards, and cashier’s checks are accepted, however payment cannot be made by personal check.
In the event that any of the above options cannot be met, the surgical center will make every attempt to assist with other financial arrangements prior to surgery. The Center accepts CareCredit, applications must be made prior to surgery. Inquire at our billing office for details.
It is your right as a patient to request information or have questions answered regarding fees or payment policies. If you have any questions or problems regarding your bill, please contact our billing department.
